There's a "small dog" area, but even then he was one of the smaller ones there...I think people were interpreting the "20 pounds and under" rule a bit liberally. ^_^ 'S all right, though. None of the dogs were aggressive, which is the really important thing. And he got to meet some very loud Bassett hounds who sound like moose. (mooses?)

It's that time again...the time when I post a doodle I've done, stick a feather in my cap and call it <strike>macaroni</strike>

This week's theme: "Spotted"

Huh, the colors came out more muted when I uploaded it to Photobucket. Whahappened?
There's a Greek myth about this guy...I think his name is Actaeon? Whatever, he's dead now. :P Anyway, he's in the woods and he sees Artemis bathing, and he thinks, "Whoa, hot naked chick, heheheh." So he watches her for a little bit, but then she spots him. This is probably what he saw the _second_ before she realized he was watching her and sicced her hounds on him. Moral of the story: Don't mess with a virgin goddess, or she will kick your sorry ass. With hounds. And a bow and arrow. Just don't mess with her, okay?

Soooooo not finished yet, though. I'm painting it digitally and this is just the veeery first stages, it's gonna be all nice and finished and pretty when I get the time. I'm thinking of making Artemis's hair black, or maybe even reddish. Opinions? I've just never seen her with those hair colors, is all, and it might be cool...

Now to go look at everyone else's IFridays! That's the best part. ^_^

Okay, I'm off to class pretty soon but before I go, heeeere is...my Illustration Friday submission this week.

The word was "Spring," so my mind went, "Spring? Cherry blossoms!" And I was thinking of how I could make something interesting out of cherry blossoms and the geisha face ended up in there just because. ^_^
Aaalllll computer. I sketched it extremely roughly with a Wacom tablet in Photoshop, then stuck it in Illustrator to do the rest. And I pretty much finished it on Friday night, which you probably don't believe because it is now Wednesday, but...take my word for it. :P

All right, the circular needle set I ordered needs to get here soon. I desperately want to start knitting a hat, and I have not the patience for double pointed needles. WOE. *flails around in needleless pain on bed*
(and I know, right: "But why are you knitting a hat when it'll be too warm to wear it?" Because I'm peculiar like that. And because by the time I finish it, heck, it might be fall again.)

Okay, now HERE is my Illustration Friday post:

The word this week is "flavor," so I thought of those bottles of Torani syrup that they have in coffee shops, so that you can add various flavors into your coffee or soda or what have you. I dunno what flavors these bottles are, though, but I'm guessing (l to r) orange, hazelnut, and watermelon. Because I like those.
(also, messing around with sketchy pen + watercolor is fun. I need to mess around more often.)

Question: can you reuse tea bags? Because I really like this black cherry tea (Celestial Seasonings, of course, what the hell else?), but I only have one bag left and I don't want to waste it if it's not necessary since I have another bag I just used in my cup. But I did this one time before, and it tasted ass-bad. Blegh. But maybe I should try it again! And if it doesn't work, I'm just gonna make a cup of Sleepytime and chalk it up to experience. :p

It looks cooler in real life, though! I think!

In other news, I tried to get Max to play tug-of-war with one of those rope toys. He gave me this "you're stupid" look and went back to sleep. My dog rules! XD
